The importance and the opportunities for the automotive recycling industry are growing exponentially. Junk car buyers and sellers have many options nowadays of getting rid of and the acquiring of the vehicles. Online markets have increased as well as scrap yards. Scrap yards and automobile dealers are mainly the main buyers of the end of life vehicles.

It is important that skilled labor is employed in recycling plants or if not a lot of training of unskilled manpower should be done. How well a yard does is dependent on the training and the skills of its manpower. The workers must also be covered by insurance provided by the employer. High exportation of old vehicles has caused a lack of enough junk cars for use in the local industry.

More sophisticated marketing and customer service approaches are being employed by those who recycle so as to improve on the inflow of old vehicles. The methods are designed to attract owners of old vehicles to a particular buyer. Some companies buy the old cars in cash then do some processing which produce nonferrous metals and steel that is then sold to manufacturing industries.
